SÃO PAULO/BRAZIL, SINGAPORE- The Singaporean aerospace company AirGo Design and the Brazilian Unmanned Sys Engineering company, JETWIND have recently signed an MoU agreement to work on the introduction of AirGo’s standardised lightweight/Smart-drone cargo container and delivery system aka DroneBox™/DroneFridge™ and DroneDelivery™ for the South American market. The companies are going to share capabilities and resources to create the best drone cargo delivery solutions for e-commerce, medical supply, and F&B, in urban, offshore, and rural areas across Brazil and other countries. The integration works will allow AirGo to present JETWIND’s RQ-17 ION in the global market as the recommended lifter fully compatible with their standardized cargo containers. The drone is available in CTOL (Conventional Take-off and Landing), quadrotor and fixed-wing VTOL (Vertical Take-off and Landing) variants.
Dr Ali Jahanshahi, COO of AirGo Design Pte Ltd and President of DLE said “in the past 2 years, the AirGo engineering team have been working on standardised drone cargo delivery solutions featuring lightweight composite material, IoT device and software integration. We have extensive know-how in advanced composite material application in the aerospace industry to design and manufacture ultralight and robust drone delivery boxes and delivery systems aka DroneBox™/DroneFridge™ and DroneDelivery™, and we are working in partnership with various companies to integrate IoT, software and cooling system solutions. JETWIND is one of the most promising newcomers in the drone delivery industry under the great leadership of Mr Tiago Giglio Rodrigues. We have taken the strategic decision to work closely with JETWIND to integrate our DroneDelivery™ system onboard their drones.”
Mr. Tiago Giglio Rodrigues, Founder & CTO of JETWIND, DLE Chapter director for Brazil, said “JETWIND is cantered in Remotely Piloted Aircraft Sys Engineering with competence to design, manufacture and test customized solutions as the cargo sys from AirGo. The advantages of this process are the development of efficient solutions able to operate according to Safety and Environmental standards stated by Civil Aviation Authorities worldwide to build a true Logistics System based on drones. I believe that the AirGo initiative will ensure sustainable growth in a market that demands a standard internationally recognized in terms of cargo containers for drones. Following this belief, JETWIND is excited to work with AirGo offering a “universal” lifter, the RQ-17 ION, able to optimize deliveries and Air Resupply Operations in an efficient and affordable way for private and governmental institutions worldwide.”
AIRGO DESIGNS PTE. LTD. was founded in Singapore in 2013, with the aim to introduce innovative lightweight solutions for the aviation industry using cutting-edge composite technologies to replace metal in heavy-duty primary/secondary aero structures. AirGo engineering team has designed a universal multirotor landing gear system integrated with a safe and reliable automated drop-and-leave releasing mechanism, including 9L standardised ultralight, recyclable, and smart drone boxes. AirGo technology is currently being used in the aviation industry and beyond in automotive, advanced air mobility and electronics. Over the years, AirGo has been featured in 200+ news articles in 20 different languages. And has won multiple awards and prizes in design & engineering, material innovation and sustainability.
JETWIND is a Brazilian company with +7 years of experience in Unmanned Vehicles Engineering, Strategic Projects and Special Services. JETWIND developed the RQ-17 ION, the first known to incorporate its Mission Adaptative Configuration (patent pending) that includes the 4.5 m wingspan fixed wing able to assume CTOL and VTOL configurations as well as the Quadrotor variants. The company’s Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) were designed following the aeronautical industry practices with aerodynamic refinements and functionalities that can be translated in efficiency and reliability. The systems respond to real end users’ requirements making the business feasible in applications that demand long range and long endurance. We keep building a global network of partners willing to contribute with its core business and expertise to develop local and international markets. JETWIND can provide either equipment or services for dual applications (civil and military) transporting cameras, sensors, and cargo.
